Here we actually wanted to buy fish rolls to take away. After 5 minutes at the order counter without any reaction from the waitress, we left the shop. That is probably too much for the staff, who blamed each other for who did what. The mood of the employees was more of a disaster, no smile, no speech, nothing.

Nice ambience and delicious tasty fish. A special well-being was possible through our very nice waitress. We wanted to buy a "fish roll on hand". But no one paid any attention to us at the counter. There was a lady ahead of us. Again, it was not even considered necessary to ask her what she would like to order. The lady went out angry - we followed her and bought a fish roll somewhere else. The service here is a sleek six!

We had a lovely lunch. The waitress was very kind and the rosti platter was super.

Eckernförde without at least one visit to the Fischhuus does not work. Admittedly, it is not a gourmet restaurant, rather has a normal range of various fish dishes in the region. In the low season it can happen that you get TK-Ware on the plate, as you can read. But never happened to me I always see fresh fish on the plates, have often observed that the goods are delivered fresh from the cutter 10 m away from the quay. It could not be fresher. My special preferences in this small restaurant with 20 to 25 outdoor tables at the edge of the harbor are on the one hand the matje and crab baguettes on the hand and the fish stew on the table. All fish rolls are freshly prepared when ordered according to the wishes of the guest. There is no saving on fish and crabs. Also, bread is the wrong word, because it fresh 15 cm long baguettes filled. On request with salad, mayo, remoulade and onions. There are always given two fillets, the abundant crabs spring up and out at the sides. The prices are seasonal. The Matjes is divine, I especially recommend the Aalrauch- and the Sherrymatjes. As a great friend of Bouillabaisse I discovered on the menu the fish soup in two variants: as an appetizer or in the terrine as a main course, the latter at a very fair rate of 8.50 €. I'm just saying: The hammer! The terrine holds an estimated one liter and is more stew than soup. Insert: Plenty of vegetables and more fish. More fish does not work. It is freshly prepared daily and gets the fish, which is there, so salmon, cod, redfish and salmon, some with crab as a topping. Every day different and outstanding every day. For this a fresh baguette is served. The staff. I often read here from unfriendly staff. Can I confirm in any way. On the contrary, I was always (!) Very friendly. Well, the gentlemen are sometimes a bit rustic, but let's face it, it's part of the ambiance here at the harbor! And even with a bit of humor you can tolerate that as a guest, right? Anyone who still finds a hair in the soup somewhere (of course in a metaphorical sense), should be pleased by the harbor atmosphere and the hustle and bustle here at the wooden bridge and be compensated. In any case, the Fischhuus as a guest will not let me go.
